Donna is sooo ready for her race in the Sea Otter Classic! She totally schooled me today in terms of endurance. She rocks at maintaining a pace perfect for the distance she has to ride.

We rode for about five hours today. I bonked at 4.5 hours, leaving Donna to totally carry me through the last 30 minutes.

We had another great day on the trails on Monday - day two of exploring the mtn biking near our new place in Newbury Park. The downhill rocked!

We had an AWESOME ride on Sunday... rolling right out of our garage and onto the nearby trails. I love our new home!

We're finally moved in and pretty much completely unpacked. Of course it made for a long weekend but tonight I'm reaping the benefits of powering through the unpacking & spending an evening at sofa city... a far cry from the 50-mile ride Donna hammered out before going to work.

We need more wall space in the garage, though I'm impressed we managed to squeeze 5 of the 'girls' into such a tight space.

If there's poison oak in the brush, Donna will find it while mtn biking. She somehow managed to get it on her hand, despite that fact that she was wearing gloves. It's proven to be a great way to keep her from picking her nose.

My sister is great about reminding me why I don't live up north any more. I've officially become a whimp, throwing on a coat when temps drop below 73 degrees.

The post-ride treat... Starbuck's! They even had hearts on the cups today.

Yes, she's every bit as tough as she looks... and all smiles when she's on a bike. No video from today's ride - she was right behind me on every pedal stroke so I never had a chance to get ahead and get out the camera.
